Exerizon is a fast-growing strategy and technology consulting firm founded by former senior leaders from global consulting and cloud organizations. We help current and future market leaders tackle their greatest challenges — from digital strategy and cloud transformation to data & AI platforms and application modernization. We redefined the traditional consulting model: we share risk with our clients through impact-based remuneration, and we share ownership with our people from day one.
We are looking for a Program Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of a large data warehouse migration to the cloud for an insurance client. The programme replaces a legacy enterprise data warehouse that feeds financial, actuarial and regulatory reporting with a cloud data platform — across many source systems, hundreds of reports and several workstreams, vendors and client teams. Regulatory reporting cannot miss a deadline while the migration runs. You are accountable for the whole thing: scope, plan, budget, risk, quality, vendors and the client relationship up to the steering committee.
What you will do:
• Own the programme end to end: mobilisation, discovery and assessment, migration waves, parallel run, cut-over, decommissioning and hypercare — with a plan the steering committee can trust
• Structure the programme into workstreams (platform build, data migration, ETL / ELT re-engineering, reporting and BI migration, data quality and reconciliation, governance, change and adoption) and run them through workstream leads
• Own the budget and the business case: estimates, estimate at completion, vendor and licence costs, cloud consumption, and the trade-offs you bring to the steering committee when they move
• Run programme governance: steering committees, status and risk reporting, RAID log, change control, decision log — and raise bad news early with options attached
• Protect reporting continuity: plan migration waves around financial close, Solvency II and IFRS 17 cycles and regulator deadlines; define reconciliation and sign-off criteria with Finance, Actuarial and Risk before any source is switched off
• Manage vendors and system integrators: contracts, SOWs, deliverable acceptance, performance and escalation; coordinate the client's own data, IT, security and compliance teams
• Work with the lead architect and data engineering leads on the technical approach — target platform (Databricks, Snowflake or similar on Azure or AWS), migration tooling, environment strategy — and hold the team to delivery discipline and definition of done
• Make regulatory and security requirements part of the plan from day one: GDPR, DORA, outsourcing and cloud notification requirements of the insurance regulator, data residency, audit
• Lead change and adoption: report consumers, analysts and actuaries moving to the new platform, training, decommissioning of the legacy warehouse
• Contribute to Exerizon's growth: delivery methods and estimation assets for data migrations, proposals and pre-sales
Requirements
• 10+ years in IT delivery, including 5+ years as a programme manager accountable for multi-workstream programmes with multi-million budgets and teams of 30+ across client, vendor and consulting staff
• At least one large data warehouse or data platform migration delivered end to end — legacy EDW (Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, SAS, Informatica or similar) to a cloud platform (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure or AWS data services) — including parallel run, reconciliation and decommissioning
• Insurance experience: you understand the data behind policy administration, claims, reinsurance, finance and actuarial reporting, and the reporting calendar (financial close, Solvency II, IFRS 17) that the migration must not break
• Technical fluency, not just vocabulary: you can follow an architecture discussion on lakehouse vs. warehouse, ELT pipelines, data modelling and reconciliation approaches, and challenge an estimate or a wave plan
• Strong programme management toolkit: integrated planning, estimation and EAC tracking, RAID management, change control, benefits tracking, dependency management across workstreams
• Vendor and contract management: SOWs, acceptance, performance management and escalation with system integrators and software vendors
• Working knowledge of the regulatory environment for cloud in Polish financial services: GDPR, DORA, outsourcing and cloud notification requirements of the insurance regulator
• Executive-level communication: structured written status, clean steering decks, and the habit of raising bad news early with options attached; comfortable chairing a steering committee with a CFO and a CRO in the room
• Full professional fluency in Polish and English
• Nice to have:
• PMP, PRINCE2, MSP or SAFe certification
• Hands-on background in data engineering or BI earlier in your career
• Experience with migration tooling and automated conversion (e.g. ETL code converters, SQL translation, data reconciliation frameworks)
• FinOps for cloud data platforms: consumption forecasting and cost control
• Experience on the client side of an insurer or a bank
Benefits
• Full ownership of a flagship programme and direct access to the client's executives and steering committee — no ten-layer review pyramid
• Competitive compensation on B2B contract
• Annual training and certification budget
• Hybrid work model with access to a central Warsaw office
• A seat at the table in shaping a young firm: our data & AI practice, delivery methods, hiring and culture
